Beth Deloria & TeamUp
Beth Deloria is Manager of Community Outreach for Allard USA and lives here in Greensboro. A lifelong athlete, Beth took up distance running 15 years ago as a way to keep fit. It quickly became her passion and she now has 12 marathon runs under her belt, including five Boston Marathons. In 2004, severe spinal trauma and subsequent surgery resulted in nerve damage that left her unable to flex her left ankle and raise the front portion of her foot. The condition, known as foot drop, made it difficult for Beth to walk without stumbling, must less continue as a competitive runner.

Not willing to give up, Beth consulted with doctors and specialists and found the answer in a technologically advanced brace made by Allard USA. She is now an advocate to helps others Get Back Up as she travels the country running 48 races in 24 months to inspire others. Beth will be running in the BB&T Gate City Half Marathon and will be joined by the newly formed TeamUp, a group of seven other individuals from across the country who also have foot drop and have managed to Get Back UP and do amazing things. The BB&T Gate City race will be their inaugural event.
